GENERAL FORMAT FOR SUBMISSION
Applicable to all submission types

As final articles published in REGEPE are made with scientific publishing software such as InDesign and LaTeX, we minimize the requirement of pre-formatting in submitted works. Thus, authors need to pay attention to complying only with the following requirements:

NUMBER OF WORDS FOR EACH TYPE OF WORK

  • Empirical articles must have a minimum of 6,000 words and a maximum of 8,000 words, including abstracts, keywords, tables, figures, notes, appendices and bibliographical references;

"------- Table 1 here -------",

or

"------- Figure 3 here -------".

CITATION STYLE AND REFERENCES

  • All formalities for presenting these elements in the work must follow the recommendations of the APA style 7th edition. In this style, for example, there are no charts, illustrations or other designations, there are only Tables and Figures.
  • Also in this style, long citations are those longer than 40 words and not those longer than 3 lines.
  • We strongly recommend the use of bibliographic management software: such as EndNoteMendeleyZotero, among others, to automatically generate references.
  • DOI: all references must present the DOI (when available) following the format (https://doi.org/xxxxxxxxxx). The "dx.doi.org/xxx" format has been deprecated.

LANGUAGES ACCEPTED IN THE SUBMISSION

In an internationalization movement for REGEPE, since 2020 it has started publishing all works with an English version. We will prioritize submissions made directly in English, however, we will always continue to value and encourage the publication of works in Portuguese, as well as continuing to accept submissions of works in Spanish.

However, all works that are originally submitted in Portuguese or Spanish will follow the editorial process normally, and authors whose articles are approved for publication in REGEPE will be asked to provide an English version of the last revision of the work in Portuguese or Spanish within a deadline. 20 days (Exceptions must be directed to the Editor-in-Chief). The translation must be carried out by a native speaker or a translator with experience in this activity, or by someone qualified to do so and who will be responsible for the translation.

Authors must forward the version of the approved article in English (American or British, as long as it is all in the same style), accompanied by a translation certificate or a letter attesting and being responsible for the quality of the translation. Or, if the translation is done by one of the authors, they must then provide a letter indicating the author(s) responsible for the translation, taking responsibility for its quality.

We emphasize that the name of the translator, reviewer or responsible for the translated version will be indicated in the article.

FILES FOR SUBMISSION

At the time of submission, the following documents must be submitted:

Research Articles

SUBMISSION OF EMPIRICAL OR THEORETICAL ARTICLES

The manuscript, which will contain the body of the text and will be submitted in the main file of the site, must have the following format:

  • Title of the article: the articles must contain the title in Portuguese, English and Spanish, the first being in the language of the article.
  • Structured abstract in three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish.

REGEPE, accompanying the evolution of impact periodicals, has been trying to consolidate some actions. Among them, we opted for the structured summary. It is a model that brings relevant information from the articles, facilitates reading and covers information of a theoretical and practical nature.

The STRUCTURED ABSTRACT includes the following MANDATORY items and, in its composition, had to have up to 250 words:

  1. Objective of the study: Indicate the objective of the work, that is, what it intends to demonstrate or describe.
  2. Methodology/approach: Indicate the scientific method used in conducting the study. In the case of theoretical essays, it is recommended that the author(s) indicate the theoretical approach adopted.
  3. Main results: Briefly indicate the main results achieved.
  4. Theoretical/methodological contributions: Indicate the main theoretical and/or methodological implications that were achieved through the findings of the study carried out.
  5. Relevance/originality: Indicate the theoretical gap in which the study is inserted, also presenting the academic relevance of the theme.
  6. Social / management contributions: Indicate the main managerial and/or social implications achieved through the findings of the study carried out.
  7. Keywords: Four to eight keywords that characterize the work, starting with a capital letter, separated by a dot, in the corresponding languages.

STRUCTURE OF THE TEXT BODY

Start immediately after presenting the items above, without inserting a new page for each subtitle.

The conventional parts of a theoretical-empirical scientific article should preferably include:

  • Introduction
  • Theoretical Backgroud
  • Methods
  • Presentation of Results and analysis
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References
  • Appendices

The Appendix can be used to provide supplementary and/or additional documents that, although not published in the article, may be made available to readers on the journal's website as an additional resource.

Technology Articles

SUBMISSION OF TECHNOLOGICAL ARTICLES

REGEPE encourages the production of Technological Articles as a result of the activities of the Professional Master and Doctorate Programs. Submissions to the Technology Articles session should address issues relevant to both an academic and professional audience in the area of entrepreneurship. Manuscripts should be structured, necessarily considering: 1) the identification and development of a problem or opportunity; 2) the scientific basis with appropriate and judicious use of citations from sources, even if its presentation is in a format that favors non-technical reading, accessible to the public of non-academic environments; 3) the succinct description of the methodological procedures adopted; and 4) the provision of relevant practical solutions, which go beyond description, to offer prescriptive advice. Manuscripts should be written in clear, non-technical language, accessible to a wide audience. Unnecessary use of jargon and technical terminologies should be avoided.

STRUCTURE OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL ARTICLE

  • Title (in Portuguese, English and Spanish): We suggest a short, attractive, informative and specific title, which represents the smallest summary of the text. Ambiguities, abbreviations and indications of methodological procedures adopted should be avoided when these are not the essence of the article proposal. The focus should be on the main contribution.

  • Introductory Part: The text should begin with an introductory title and we suggest that authors use titles and subtitles throughout the text for easy reading. Titles should be descriptive and informative, but not in the traditional academic style. For example, we suggest that instead of using "Introduction", authors favor a descriptive introductory title over their content. The goal is to guide the reader with a more engaging language. The introductory text should: 1) explain the theme (mandatorily related to entrepreneurship) in which the article is inserted; 2) develop a current and relevant contextualization, presenting historical factors, always with referenced facts and evidence data of the real world (not only academic references); 3) identify and develop the problem or opportunity for which a solution will be presented; 4) define the objective(s) of the study; 5) highlight the practical contributions of the article; and 6) describe the structure of the article for the reader.
  • Part of the Scientific Foundation: Here we also suggest that authors favor descriptive title(s) (s) over their text content. The manuscript should present a scientific dialogue with the main authors related to its theme, demonstrating what is already known and/or explaining the main concepts necessary for the proposal of the article.
  • Part of the Methodological Procedures: It is necessary to describe, briefly, the procedures performed for data collection and analysis, in a way necessary to prove the scientific rigor. We encourage the use of visual schemes that demonstrate the step-by-step search.
  • Part of the Solution Presentation: In this part, the text should describe the proposed solution. The proposal should go beyond the description and offer prescriptive advice, theoretically based. It is suggested, whenever possible, the materialization of the proposal, for example, if the proposal is a framework for decision-making , which is constructed and presented the framework, in this part of the text.
  • Concluding Part: The conclusive text should: 1) recover the objective and demonstrate how it was achieved; 2) demonstrate practical (compulsorily) and theoretical (optionally) contributions; 3) to present the limitations of the research and 4) to list suggestions for future research.
  • References: According to the general rules of REGEPE.

  • Closing the case, creating concerns to think about what this company would look like from the scenario presented;
  • Questions at the end of the text for discussion in the classroom. These have the role of conducting the situation, as a script, besides assisting the teacher in conducting the activity;
  • Present the Educational Objectives;
  • Source of data collection;
  • Recommended use
