As atividades de empreendedorismo acadêmico vêm recebendo crescente atenção na literatura e entre os formuladores de políticas públicas, principalmente pela sua capacidade de contribuir para o desenvolvimento econômico e tecnológico dos países. Inserido nesse contexto, este trabalho aplica uma metodologia por meio de um survey junto a estudantes universitários que procura identificar os principais fatores que estimulam a criação de empresas. Os principais resultados mostram que a propensão a assumir risco, a proximidade a outros empreendedores e o desenvolvimento de uma ideia para o empreendimento são os principais fatores que influenciam a propensão à criação de empresas. Além desses, a busca de poder e a possibilidade de colocar em prática suas próprias ideias também são importantes motivadores ao empreendedorismo acadêmico. Esses resultados trazem consigo importantes implicações para a atuação da universidade no estímulo à criação de empresas.Downloads
